Greetings. My name is Chief Jack Nicholais and I am from NJ. I have been interested in this topic for the last 50 or so years. In that time I have in my professional career investigated two actual sightings as a police officer. Some of my skills that I hope to apply here in the community is that I have 40 yrs. police experience, schooling in interrogations and interviewing techniques, voice stress programming, Master Clinical Hypnotherapist (since 1995), Developed witness/victim recall with hypnosis, forensic hypnosis and Master Hypnosis Instructor, which I run courses for those looking for another career or to help with their own career. I also founded and run the United States Sports Hypnosis Center in NJ and have athletes from all venues national and international.

Hi, chiefjack. It's nice to see you here. With the expertise that you have it sounds like you could make some good contributions to the UFO community. Are you currently with MUFON or are you working independently?

I've been with Mufon for only two years as a field investigator, have had a few cases as a PO and have been interested in this field since the mid 50's as a child where I had some experiences that could not be explained . In the past I have done a few cases of regression with abductees but they sought me out. I have been following the emails and "problems" with Mufon and was looking for a forum to join when I found yours. Just from the emails that I have received I would venture to say that the organization is headed downhill and it is only a matter of time when the public will find out about the problems and then the organization will lose all it's credibility.
It would be in the interest of the organization to be more open and have an elected board before it becomes an organization that is not taken seriously and becomes what we don't want it to be, a farce. I think that it will never change and what needs to be don e is form another organization and move on from there. I think many members would leave and go to the new organization. From there funds can be raised to build up coffers. Sorry...got carried away...

I think that you are correct about everything that you said. MUFON is going downhill and they are losing their credibility. A lot of people have already left and more will in the future. Many of them are going over to EPIC while others are simply starting to investigate privately on their own. MUFON is losing a lot of good people.
The really bad thing about it is that I don't think they care. The BoD is so deeply in bed with Bigelow and his government backers that they don't care if they lose members, even if they are FIs or even State Directors. The Board members seem to think that the only thing that matters is themselves and their own personal agendas.
I guess whether or not MUFON will be saved will depend on whether or not the members think it is worth saving. They can either leave and go someplace else or stay and fight back and try to make a difference. It may end up being a useless effort but you never know if you don't try. It will be interesting to see what happens.
